The Isle of Man Government’s head of energy policy alongside the climate change transformation team will give an update on climate change work programmes with a focus on the move to clean heating systems.
CIOM is delighted to have the Government’s head of energy policy and the climate change transformation team join them for their February construction forum. It is set to be a lively discussion where the Government experts will unravel their latest work programs impacting the construction sector, covering successes of the energy efficiency schemes and the status of the low carbon heating strategy.
As of 1st January 2024, any new build plans submitted will now need to include low carbon heating systems, with the 2025 ban on installing fossil fuel heating systems in new buildings on the horizon.
The team will cover support schemes available to construction businesses, as well as discuss with the industry opportunities and further forms of help that could benefit the sector.
